What Is ABHA ID and Card?

The government aims to create an Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) ID for every Indian citizen. The ID will be a 14-digit identification number. You can register for an ABHA ID and card directly from the Edelweiss General Insurance website. Visit the ABHA page on the website and enter your AADHAAR or mobile number. Once you receive the OTP, authenticate your account and receive your ABHA ID. You can then complete your Ayushman card download and save it securely with DigiLocker.

What Is the Cost of Getting an ABHA ID?

You do not have to pay anything to generate your ABHA ID number or health card online. The process is free.

What Happens If I Lose My ABHA Card?

If you happen to lose your ABHA card, do not panic. You can re-visit the Edelweiss General Insurance website and get a new ABHA card online. Select the Search ABHA Account option and use your ABHA ID or AADHAAR number to view your details.

Can I Control Who Sees My Personal Information?

The ABHA platform puts security at the forefront. It uses security and encryption technology to secure your details. Additionally, you must personally consent before sharing your information with any professional or healthcare facility. If required, you can revoke consent. If you no longer wish to enjoy the benefits offered by the ABHA ID, you can opt-out and erase all your data.
